How to use Muganisers

How the Muganisers© work

Muganisers are almost always created from 100% cotton.

The edges are trimmed with binding and/or lace and the inner section is padded to ensure they maintain their shape.

Muganisers are fully washable, but hand washing is preferable as they will be easier to iron.

Whichever "outer" design is used, it is complimented by a fabric of Stephanie's choice for the "inner"

It could be plain or patterned, contrasted or matched, whatever she feels looks best .

Once she has completed a Muganiser, she very, very seldom duplicates it exactly.  Stephanie will probably do three or four colourways or

variations of the same fabric, but none of them will be identical...

Therefore, you can be confident that your Muganiser will be virtually unique!

There are 10 pockets of varying width on each Muganiser which is held in place around the handle by a tied ribbon and a press stud "popper".

Will any mug work with Muganiser©?

As you can see from the image to the left, Muganisers will fit most standard size and shaped mugs

Mugs that are outside the standard, such as "pint mugs" or "cup mugs" cannot be used with Muganisers,

but if you would like one making for that "Special" mug in your life.... just let us know what you would like and we will happily try to make one for you!

How to use and fit your Muganiser with the inside left uncovered

Dressing the mug.....

Muganisers attach with a ribbon tie above and a press stud below the handle of your mug. The inner flap can be placed inside the mug for a decorative effect, or, outside for more practical uses.

To wrap the Muganiser around the mug, you only have to undo the "popper".

Once opened, just spread the Muganiser at the bottom and slide it around the mug, snapping the "popper" together once it is below the mug handle, as shown below.

Dressing the mug in this way leaves the inside of the mug without the cloth inside

the mug.

Handy if you are wanting to put a tool or something inside the mug that may stain the cloth, such as water inside the mug and your brushes in the pockets on the outside as

you paint.

Changing the water, no problem, just undo the "popper" and slip the Muganiser off the mug, refill and replace!

As you can see, the 10 pockets are gaping and easily available to use.

The ribbon is gripping the top of the mug well and the interior is ready for whatever you want to throw at it!

Fitting the Muganiser with the inside covered.....

If you want to put the liner inside the mug, then the following shows how you would "dress" the mug.

Again, undo the "popper" and pull the inner liner up to its full length but again, leave the bow tied.

As the image to the left shows, once the Muganiser is placed around the mug, fasten the popper below the handle.

With the Muganiser fastened around the handle, start to press the cloth above the mug rim into the mug, going all around until the cloth fits neatly inside the mug.
